Gardai have launched an investigation following an alleged racially-motivated assault in south Dublin.
Gardai said that the victim, named as 22-year-old Shubhangi Karmakar, a British citizen born in India, was the target of racial slurs and physical violence by a gang of youths while walking with a friend along the Rialto area of Dublin on Monday.
Ms Karmakar says that the assault has left her with a lot of pain in her neck after the gang pushed and shoved her around.
Gardai are investigating the incident.
