Gardai have launched an investigation following a multi-vehicle collision in the Cork area on Friday.
The incident, which involved an articulated truck and two cars, happened in the Crookstown area on Friday.
A female in her 80s, who was the driver of one of the cars involved, died in hospital. Two other people required hospitalization.
