Gardai have launched an investigation following a serious assault in an Irish county.
The incident happened in the Summerhill area of Tramore, Co. Waterford, at around 11am today.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with this incident.
