Gardai have launched an investigation following the discovery of a body in an Irish county.
It is understood that a member of the public made the grim discovery while walking along the shoreline in the Doorus area of Kinvara, Co. Galway.
The body is believed to be that of a woman. Authorities think the body might have been in the water for up to a week.
A port-mortem investigation will determine the course of the investigation.
