Gardai have launched an investigation into a blaze at a former convent earmarked to house Ukrainian refugees.
The incident happened at a building sited in Lanesboro, Co. Longford, overnight.
The fire, which has been deemed as ‘suspicious’, caused little damage as it was quickly extinguished by the local fire brigade.
This is the latest in a string of fires affecting buildings being prepared to house refugees.
