A new attempt has been made by convicted killer Graham Dwyer to appeal his conviction for the murder of daycare provider Elaine O’Hara, reports Breaking News.
On Monday, the Supreme Court’s seven judges will hear arguments from Graham Dwyer’s legal team.
Dwyer’s life sentence for the murder has already been served for nine years.
Dwyer’s appeal against his 2015 conviction was dismissed by the Court of Appeal in March of last year on all grounds, reports Breaking News.
The admissibility of mobile phone call data records is perhaps the main issue at stake in the most recent petition to the Supreme Court.
Dwyer’s attorneys argue that the data shouldn’t have been allowed in because it was acquired and kept in accordance with an Irish regulation from 2011 that was overturned by the Court of Justice of the European Union in 2014, reports Breaking News.
