A major investigation is underway this after there was a shooting in Ballyfermot, Dublin shortly at approximately 10pm last night.
Gardaí say a 19-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his leg during the incident at Le Fanu Drive, Ballyfermot. It is understood the injured man was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel before he was taken to St James’s Hospital.
They also say the man’s condition is not life threatening. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact Ballyfermot Garda Station 01-6667200 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111.
