Gardai have launched a nationwide road safety operation ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.
According to Gardai sources, no fewer than 25 people were arrested for drink/drug driving offences on Thursday evening/night.
The operation will run until next Tuesday.
Gardai say that they’re going to be holding nationwide checkpoints around the country. They say that they’re looking in particular for people who are driving under the influence of drugs.
