Gardai manning a Covid-19 checkpoint in Waterford seized over €50k worth of cocaine.
The incident happened after Gardai stopped and searched a car on Monday morning. It’s understood that it was a routine checkpoint stop during the coronavirus outbreak.
The driver of the car, a young man in his 20s, was arrested and taken in for questioning.
