Gardai mounted a large operation on Tuesday night after witnesses reported hearing ‘up to 10 gunshots’ in the Bluebell area of the capital.
Armed gardai rushed to the La Touche Road area of Bluebell and cordoned off the road.
No one was injured and no property appeared to be damaged by gunfire.
Gardai are investigating.
