Gardai confirmed the driver of a wine coloured Ford Mondeo left the scene of an accident after it struck the front of am ambulance on the Peace Bridge in Drogheda yesterday afternoon at 3:30pm.
Two paramedics and a patient were in the ambulance at the time with all three said to have recieved significant injuries as a resulf of the crash.
Gardai are treating the incident as a hit-and-run and have appealed for witnesses to contact them at Drogheda Garda Station on 041-9874200
