
Gardai are said to be extremely concerned with four of their members being badly beaten up over the Easter weekend.
Two gardai were attacked and badly beaten in the early hours of yesterday in Dublin. The vicious attack happened at Aylward Green, Finglas, Dublin 11 at 1.50am.
A male garda received facial injuries and a female garda officer received a fractured wrist during the incident.
They were both taken to Connolly Hospital in Blachardstown where they were treated for their injuries.
Gardai say two men in their 20s have been arrested in connection to the attack.
Meanwhile another male and female garda were viciously attacked for quite some time in a street fight-type brawl in Claremorris, County Mayo.
A total of 5 men have been arrested in connection with both attacks and gardai have appealed for witnesses to contac them on the Confidential Line on 1800-66-61-11.
