Gardai in Co Kerry have confirmed that a man has been seriously injured following an explosion at a house near Listowel.
It is understood that the man was taken to hospital following the incident which occurred in the Clieveragh area at approximately 5:30pm on Thursday evening.
Gardai say the injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment on serious but non life threatening injuries.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
