
A teenager is in a critical condition after a road accident that occurred in Dublin late Sunday night, reports RTE.
Emergency crews responded after a cyclist was hit by a car on the R113 at Fonthill in Clondalkin around 11.40pm.
The victim, a male in his late teens, is currently in critical condition at Beaumont Hospital, reports RTE.
The road remains closed for a forensic investigation, and diversions have been set up on Fonthill Road South, between the junctions with Cherrywood Avenue and St John’s Road.
There were no other injuries reported as a result of the incident.
Gardaà are asking for witnesses to come forward, especially those who may have video footage, including dash cam recordings. Anyone with information is asked to contact Clondalkin Garda Station at 01 666 7600, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any local garda station, reports RTE.
