Gardai say that they’ve held over 1,000 checkpoints a DAY since the start of lockdown with 13 files sent to the DPP




Gardai say that they’ve carried out more than 1,000 checkpoints a day across Ireland since the start of lockdown part 2.

Restrictions from Level 5 meant that people couldn’t travel further than 5km and they couldn’t leave their county. Gardai say that the majority of people were complying with the restrictions but that 13 files were being sent to the DPP including one for a person who wasn’t wearing a face mask.

It’s also understood that gardai reported 11 breaches of retail restrictions.
