Gardai in Co Mayo have reportedly seized a sizable amount of cannabis plants which is thought to be worth in the region of €42,000.
It is understood that the discovery was made as part of an on-going intelligence operation, following the planned search of a house in Ballina on Sunday. Gardai say a man in his late 40s had been arrested and was taken to Ballina Garda Station.However the man in question was later released without charge.
It is believed that a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
