Gardai scored a large haul of cannabis herb, after seizing an estimated €110,000 worth of the drug in Co. Clare.
The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon, when Gardai stopped and searched a van in Clonmoney West, Bunratty, Co Clare. Two men, aged 37 and 27, were arrested at the scene and are currently being held at Shannon Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 – Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
In a statement, the garda Press Office said: “Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.
“Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.”
