Gardaí in Cork have seized a large quantity of Russian poitín.
According to RTÉ News Gardaí along with Revenue Commissioners and the Food Safety Authority seized the alcohol which is thought to have been sold to the homeless in the city.
Gardaí say that 240 litres of the high strength alcohol was being distilled each week.
They added that bottles, packaging and a quantity of cash were also seized during the search.
