Gardai are out in force more than ever this Easter bank holiday weekend and have assured the public that there will be checkpoints across the country.
Their efforts are to ensure that the spread of coronavirus is stopped as much as possible and that it will give us all a chance at getting back to some sort of normality at some point in the not too distant future.
However it seems that some people are still determined to go out and do what they like regardless of the lockdown measures.
Gardai stopped a driver going from Tipperary to Limerick who told them that he was going to Limerick to buy a trampoline.
It’s understood that the driver wasn’t arrested or fined but was told to turn back immediately and go home as the journey was not deemed essential at this time.
