We can disclose that 8-yr-old Kyran Durnin is thought deceased, and the Gardai are scheduled to begin a dig this week. Investigators report “steady progress” in their probe into Kyran’s alleged murder, reports The Mirror.

This comes after vigils were conducted over the weekend in Dundalk, County Louth, and Drogheda. Only on August 30th did a family member report little Kyran missing from his home in Drogheda, County Louth.

However, gardai think Kyran was last seen alive in May 2022 and worry he perished more than two years ago when he was just six years old. Kyran has two younger siblings.

Additionally, authorities have searched far and wide but have failed to find the small youngster or find any indication of his present location, reports The Mirror.

However, excavations for the young boy’s bones are scheduled to start this week. The murder investigation was launched last Wednesday, according to the Gardai, and is being overseen by a Senior Investigation Officer who works out of an incident room set up at the Drogheda Garda Station.

According to reports, detectives have now identified a number of persons of interest, although no arrests have been made as of yet. According to reports, finding Kyran’s remains is currently the top priority, reports The Mirror.

Additionally, sources have stated that the team of detectives from Drogheda Garda Station is making “steady progress” in the inquiry.

“The investigation has progressed from what was originally reported and continues to progress,” a source told this paper. “The investigation is being conducted methodically,” reports The Mirror.
