As lovely as they look at this time of year, people are advised to stay well clear of all mountainous areas, specifically the Wicklow Mountains.
Gardai say that they fined a number of people for being outside their county while they held checkpoints in their are over the weekend.
A number of cars were also towed as they blocked emergency service routes to the mountains. Gardai say that people can’t go on so-called “snow holidays” where they’re trying to get snow photos and to go on walks during Level 5 lockdown.
