Check your speed on Friday, as Gardai will be out in their droves during so-called ‘Slow Down Day’.
There will be a large number of checkpoints setup throughout Ireland in an effort to stamp out speeding, for a day at least.
There have been 148 road deaths in the country so far this year, though it is unclear how many of those are directly linked to speeding.
