The longest member of the Irish Dragon’s Den programme, entrepreneur Gavin Duffy has announced he’ll run for the Aras in the upcoming Presidential Election.
The Liberal has discovered that Duffy may be heavily favoured by the Fianna Fail party and its supporters.
However, there may be a twist in the tail for Duffy as Sean Gallagher of Dragon’s Den is possibly also running for the Aras yet again after his failed attempt in 2011.
Gallagher was tipped to win the race until, what many on social said, he “got shafted” on RTE’s Primetime debate where an tweet caused controversy.
Current President Michael D Higgins is to contest his position even though he reportedly said he only wanted to be a one-term President.
