General Election: Fine Gael plan to introduce free healthcare for under 18s and extend paid paternity leave by seven weeks




Fine Gael have pledged that all children under the age of 18 will be entitled to free healthcare by the 2025.

Announcing the party’s health care plans for under 18s, Health Minister Simon Harris revealed that the party plan to provide free GP care to all children within the next five years.

The party also say they plan to introduce free dental care for every child under the age of 16.

Meanwhile the Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe has confirmed that the party plan to increase paid paternity leave by a further seven weeks if the party is re-elected.

Fine Gael say the moves are part plans to make life easier for families across the country.
