he Government’s day of reckoning may be closer than you think, as Enda Kenny said twice today while speaking in the Dáil that the next general election will be held in “early 2016”.
Many in Fine Gael’s ranks would favor such move, while Joan Burton from Labour would prefer to see the current Government see it through its full term.
The deadline for the current Dáil to be disbanded a general election be called would be 9 April 2016.
