The daughter of New York City’s radically anti-Trump, Democratic Mayor, Bill De Blasio has been arrested for reportedly taking part in riots.
Chiara de Blasio (25) was arrested in Manhattan on Saturday night for blocking traffic and refusing to move when ordered to by police.
A source told the New York Post in relation to the incident:
“That was a real hotspot, police cars were getting burned there, people were throwing and yelling, fighting with cops. There were thousands of people in that area at that time.”
New York, like dozens of other American cities has been rocked with violent riots and looting and even attacks on police with vehicles, with the thugs using the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis as justification for their actions.
Mayor de Blasio has been slow to act to stamp out riots and looting in his city despite acting so firmly against those who defied his lockdown orders going so far as to threaten whole communities with the law enforcement but has not spoken on the arrest of his daughter at a violent riot.
