Gardai have confirmed that two people have arrested in connection with damage caused to the statue of Luke Kelly.
However it is believed that the arrests relate to damage caused to statue earlier his year and not last Friday’s incident.
Gardai say both individuals were questioned at Store Street Garda Station.
They added that a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
