Relatives of the deceased George Nkencho have reportedly been involved in a confrontation with Gardai.
It is understood that Blessing Nkencho, George’s mother, was ‘brought down to the ground’ by officers during an incident that occurred on Wednesday of this week. A 16-year-old black teenager was also involved. The nature of the incident is unclear.
27-year-old George Nkencho was shot dead by Gardai last December, after he reportedly assaulted staff at a local store. The GSOC currently has an open investigation into the killing.
