German authorities are revisiting the cold case of a 5-year-old German girl who vanished in 2015, following the arrest of Christian Bruckner in connection with the Madeleine McCann case.

Inga Gehrike was thought to have wandered into a forest near her home in the town of Braunshweig, while her family held a barbeque. She was never seen again.

Bruckner’s home, situated about 60 miles from the area where Inga was last seen, was raided at the time, but no further action was taken.

He’s currently serving a sentence in a German prison for the rape of a 72-year-old American woman in Portugal, and is now being considered as a prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann in Portugal in 2007.
