The German man arrested in connection with the Madeleine McCann case allegedly bragged that he ‘had snatched her’.
The man, named as 43-year-old Christian Bruckner, is currently serving a lengthy sentence for the rape of a 72-year-old American woman in Portugal. Bruckner reportedly has a fairly long criminal history going as far back as his teens.
Reports now say that he bragged to friends that he had ‘snatched’ Madeleine McCann, a claim to which authorities were tipped off.
Bruckner has come to the attention of investigators in the McCann case before, as he was known to be living in the Praia da Luz area at the time of Madeleine’s disappearance.
German investigators are now treating Madeleine’s vanishing as a murder case, as they say they have reason to believe that the girl is dead.
