Germany has been rocked by a suspected terror attack that has left several people seriously wounded in Berlin.
On Tuesday evening, a car ploughed into three motorcycles in the German capital, leaving the victims with severe injuries. Police have suggested that the incident was ‘an Islamist-motivated attack’, the BBC reports.
A 30 year old Iraqi national has been arrested, and a religious or political motive is suspected. According to the BBC, experts theorise that the man may have been radicalised while living in refugee accommodation in Germany.
This is not the first time such an attack has occurred in Berlin – in 2016 an Islamic extremist ploughed his truck through a busy Christmas market killing 12 and wounding 49 people.
