Four people have been arrested, three in Germany and one in Paraguay at the request of German authorities after they smashed a child sex abuse imagery network with 400,000 users.
The child pornography site named “Boystown” had over 400,000 registered users when it was taken offline by an international taskforce headed by German Federal Criminal Police — the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA).
The operation also included European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) and law enforcement agencies from the Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, Canada and the United States.
Reuters reported that d three main suspects accused of operating and maintaining the Boystown platform during raids on seven properties in mid-April, Reuters reported and fourth in Paraguay. All suspects so far arrested are German males.
