Germany is leading with example as the country has sent 14,000 155mm artillery shells, mine clearing vehicles, and other military equipment to help Ukraine pulverize the invader.
Ireland meanwhile hasn’t been able to help with even a paltry handful of bullets, and is in fact stabbing Ukrainian refugees in the back by slashing social welfare rates, after luring refugees into ‘welcoming Ireland’ with the promise of safety and refuge. The (unelected) Government is now actively working to ensure refugees are simply given an official-looking leaflet before being shown the door to the street.
Germany’s latest round of military aid is part of an overall €1.1bn package to ensure Ukrainian guns do not fall silent.
