Today’s the day that the country goes to the polling station and will elect new local councillors and EU parliament politicians.
We’ve heard and watched debates over the past number of weeks for the MEP elections but it’s very much anyone’s race to win with odds short on a large number of candidates.
Polls are open from 7am until 10pm this evening. People are advised to get out and vote and have their say.
Early exit numbers will be available from lunchtime and teatime.
