Ireland may be in store for thunder and lightning as more autumnal weather sweeps the country and temperatures plummet, according to Met Eireann.
Temperatures could drop as low as 14C in places this week as the warm weather fades into memory, the Irish Mirror reported.
Heavy showers and possible thunder storms are likely in west while the east and south-east are expected to fare the best and avoid the worst of the approaching rain storms.
