Police in the UK have begun an investigation after a 2-year-old girl was taken to hospital after suffering a serious head injury on Tuesday afternoon.
According to The Mirror newspaper, the toddler was seriously injured after she was struck with a crossbow bolt at a house in Liverpool.
The shocking incident which occurred at a house in Walton, has left the two-year-old in serious condition.
Police investigating the incident say they have seized the weapon involved and it is currently undergoing forensic examination testing.
They added that no arrests have yet been made and an investigation is currently ongoing.
