France Fitzgerald seems to be “hell-bent” on removing the Good Friday alcohol ban.
The 90 year old Bill will definitely not be lifted until at least next year.
The Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald decided not oppose a bill put forward by a group of Independent Senators, that recommends an end to the current law.
The ban could be incorporated into the Government’s Sale of Alcohol Bill, which is due to be submitted in the Dáil later this year.
