There was good news for Bord Gáis Energy customers today as the company announced that they are to cut its electricity and gas unit rate prices for the third time in 20 months.
The company say over 650,000 of its customers will experience will see decrease in their bills, with a 5% drop in its electricity unit rate and a 2.5% drop in its gas unit rate.
Bord Gáis Energy say the cuts will make them the lowest standard electricity and dual fuel supplier in Ireland, with a typical dual fuel household expected to save €67 per year.
The company say the new price changes will come into effect from 1 October 2016 for residential gas and electricity customers.
