There was some news for upcoming college students today as the body charged with awarding grants has announced its online application system for the upcoming academic year 2015 to 2016 is now officially open.
The body itself SUSI system is now in its fourth consecutive year, and they are expected to receive more than 110,000 applications in the coming months. The team say they have implemented a few key improvements, which include the earlier application opening date and a newly redesigned website.
The news comes as the body came in for strong criticism recently after they allegedly granted €4m worth of grants to ineligible students in their first year of operation.
