Thankfully good news emerged in the early hours of this morning from Thailand that all twelve boys and their football coach who had been trapped in a cave in Thailand for nine days have not only been found alive but are safe and relatively well.

According to local media in Thailand, the boys were very hungry, dehydrated and a little disorientated but otherwise in relatively good health, considering the conditions they lived in for over a week.

According to RTE News, the governor of Chiang Rai said that rescue teams found all 13 people with signs of life in all being reported.

It’s understood that rescuers made a passageway for divers to access a part of the cave that was inaccessible for a number of days.
The boys are all aged between 11 and 16 and their coach is aged 25. They disappeared on the 23rd of June during an excursion to the Tham Luang cave, which is 10km beneath the mountains in northern Chiang Rai province.

There was no trace of the boys until yesterday afternoon when rescue workers, which included crews of over 1,000 people in total, finally made the breakthrough.
