The HSE say that they’ve drastically increased the number of testing being carried out in nursing homes and that the male to female breakout is 53% to 47%.
The Minister for Health Simon Harris said in the Dail today that the reproductive figure has now falled between 0.5 and 1% so it would indicate that we are suppressing coronavirus, at least to some extent.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health have confirmed that a total of 28 people have died and 936 more cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the Republic of Ireland.
In an announcement made this evening the Department confirmed that there are currently 17,607 confirmed cases in the Republic of Ireland and a total 794 deaths.
