A man dubbed as an unnamed hero had warned police that he would break the car window after spotting the 14 week old terrier in real distress in Swindon, UK.
When no action was taken he duly obliged by smashing through the glass and retrieving the puppy from the roasting hot car.
The dog’s owner had parked up and went to do some shopping, leaving all windows fully up in the vehicle.
According to the Mirror, Inspector Steven Daly said:
“We can sweat but dogs cannot. If you take that risk of leaving your dog in the car then to me you’re being reckless.
Police have stated that the good Samaritan’s actions were lawful and the puppy is now happily re-United with it’s owner.
