Good weather spell set to end with heavy rain and cooler temperatures expected this week




The good weather spell which gripped the country this past weekend is coming to an end according to forecasters.

According to Met Éireann, this week will become slightly cooler with heavy showers expected throughout.

Although it will remain relatively dry and warm today with temperatures reaching 21C, the national forecaster say heavy showers are expected to arrive by night time.

Wednesday will be a damp day as heavy and thundery showers are expected from early on with temperatures ranging between 13C to 17C.

Whilst Thursday will see more of the same with heavy showers expected throughout the day with temperatures expected to range between 11 to 15C.
