Gov allocate another €20 million of tax payer money for refugee accommodation

With the Irish people struggling with a spiralling cost of living crisis and disastrous housing situation, unprecedented in the history of the state, the Cabinet have approved the allocation of a further €20 million to deliver more than 400 beds and undertake feasibility assessments in respect of two of the sites for refugee accommodation the Irish Times reported.

The funding is to consider commercial and other properties and sites for development, refurbishment or purchase which would then be used to house refugees sources told the Irish Times on Thursday.

It is a tragic irony that the 21st Century plantation of Ireland, which will lead to an even greater demographic shift that those of the 16th and 17th centuries, is actually being paid for by the Irish people themselves.
