The Government has confirmed that people will not receive any more energy credits until the autumn at the earliest, leaving households to fend for themselves.
It is understood that the €200 credit that was issued in recent days will be the last.
Meanwhile, Electric Ireland has confirmed that businesses will see a price reduction in their energy bills from this month.
