The Government has confirmed that the eviction ban will not be reinstated, irrespective of how many more thousands of people become homeless because of it.
Second-time-around Taoiseach appointee Leo Varadkar has put his foot down and resolutely said that lifting the ban is irreversible.
Some are now predicting a tsunami of homelessness on top of the already disastrous situation across Ireland.
