New figures just released show that around 36,000 fewer people are now claiming the weekly Covid-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment, when compared with last week’s records.
The reduction means overall savings of about €12.6m.
Those receiving the payment should be wary of possible tax implications in the future, as recently hinted at by the Government.
