It appears that the national infrastructure of the country is about to get a much needed boost, well to a degree.
The Government has approved this year’s National Development Plan, which includes budgetary allocations for a new motorway, a new airport runway, and extension of Dart lines.
The new budget will allow for the constructtion of a Limerick to Cork motorway, and a second runway at Dublin Airport.
The DART lines will soon reach County Louth in one end and Kildare in the other, meaning that people from 30 miles either side of Dublin can commute right into the City Centre via the Dart.
In total, the plan has €115 billion allocated to major infrastructure projects.
