There was some good news for motorists today as the Dáil passed a new motion that will tackle the rise of motor insurance premiums.
The new legislation which will see a taskforce being setup was passed without the need for a vote. The new motion which was submitted by Fianna Fáil earlier this week is calling on the Government to examine the constant rise in premiums.
Ministers now hope the new system will halt the consistent rise in motor insurance premiums which have scandalously increased by 35.5% over the past year.
