The Government is reportedly considering a cost of living package worth up to €3bn for the upcoming Budget.
While the precise measures are not finalized, the Government might include assistance with electricity bills, pension increases, and once-off double child benefit payments, among others.
Ongoing reduction in ticket fares for public transport is also being considered.
